11 Halloween Food Ideas and Snacks for Kid’s Parties

We love to celebrate Halloween with fun, festive creepy foods. Here are eleven halloween food ideas and snacks for kid’s parties or your next Halloween get together.


You can add some simple Halloween decor with plastic 3D bats (or cut some out of black construction paper) and spider webs. Cheap, easy and still classy!

Here’s our set up from last year on our dining room buffet.

Easy, simple, classic Halloween decor for parties. Plastic bats, spider webs.

Arrange all the food in easy to grab locations and put charcuterie snack boards in common areas.

Grab and go, individual snacks are perfect for a kids Halloween party. Wrap apple sauce pouches with gauze for mummies. Add construction paper faces to juice boxes. Ghost chips, ritz spiders, hot dog fingers, moon apple slices and mini pumpkins.

Make a yummy, simple dish so cozy for fall like chili and put it in a fun Halloween bowl.

Make a tasty punch for drinks, add plastic eyeballs or creepy ice cubes.

Here are some spooky Halloween dishes and meal ideas for lunch or dinner.

Kids Halloween lunch idea: ghost peanut butter and jelly sandwich, ghost pretzels, bat & ghost veggie chips

Monster Turkey Sandwich. Cut cheese to make teeth, add green olives on top for eyes.

Witch Fingers Cheese Pizza. This is a favorite around here. Add red peppers or almond slices for finger nails. Adhere with spaghetti sauce.

Spider Taco Dip. This Halloween 5 layer dip has refried beans, meat layer, guacamole, Greek yogurt & taco seasoning, cheese and olives for decoration.

Really been loving this pesto. I just added a whole jar to 16 ounces of pasta, meatballs, olives and Parmesan cheese or a spooky Meatball Eyeball Pasta dish.

Halloween pizza dinner idea. Get a plain frozen cheese pizza, cut cheese and pepperoni into Halloween shapes with cookie cutters add black olives for spiders. Completely customizable and so easy!

Halloween Charcuterie snack board platters

This pesto is great as a dip for crackers or pretzels on a charcuterie board. I added some fun Halloween cookies, ghost marshmallows, ghost pretzels with eyes and grapes with eyes. You cannot go wrong with candy eyes!

This is one of my favorite snack boards to date. So many good options for Halloween snack ideas. Cheese and pretzel broomsticks, cheesy witch fingers, spider nacho cheese dip, Oreo spiders, ritz spiders, Banana ghosts, cutie orange pumpkins, mummy lil Smokies, mummy pizza bagels and ghost pretzels.


I am so excited to add to this list every year. While I have a couple favorite Halloween snacks (like the creepy cheese pizza witch fingers & mummy lil Smokies). I love trying out new Halloween recipes to make things more fun at dinner time.
