Creative Nature Crafts for Families to Celebrate Earth Day!

Earth Day is on Wednesday, April 22!! Do you typically celebrate? Everyone loved this floral salt dough mobile I made, so I wanted to share some more creative nature crafts for families to celebrate Earth Day.


Here are 15 beautiful and fun craft ideas for kids to get in on the Earth Day celebrations. I know y’all like the pressed flowers crafts but I wanted to include some more kid-friendly options too.


1.These flower panels are so cute and can be made with things already in your home.

2.How cute are these nature suncatcher wind chimes ? Made with mason jar lids, contact paper and flowers! So pretty!!

4.I love the idea of taking things from nature and having your child write their name with it. Have fun searching for the perfect pieces on this name writing nature hunt . To take it a step further, you can adhere them to a piece of paper and frame it!

5.I absolutely adore these pressed flower tea lights . These would be so cute in your home or out on the patio or deck. Kids can help pick the flowers, what jars they’ll go on and placement of the flowers.

6.Nothing easier than a good old-fashioned hammered flower print. I have not done this DIY flower art project, but it looks fairly easy. Just pick some flowers, cover with parchment paper and hammer away for a beautiful abstract design. Frame for a unique piece of art!

8.OK, how cute are these potted cactus pet rocks ? I love the simple design. It’s easy enough for kids to do. And the googly eyes make it so much fun. Put them in little terra-cotta pots and you’ll have a plant no one can kill!

11.When we picked our flowers last week, this nature tree was the original project I had in mind. But I went with the salt dough ornaments instead. This nature tree is such a sweet idea and so easy, children of all ages can participate. They can use their arm & handprint for the tree trunk & branches!

12.This is one of the coolest Earth Day sensory play bins I have seen! We don’t have shaving cream in our house because my husband doesn’t shave, but we have whipped cream! I love this idea!!

12.How sweet is this frozen ocean animal rescue ice play bowl? This one is so well done and legitimately looks like under the sea. This would be the perfect busy toddler activity on a warm spring or summer day. I will definitely be using this throughout the summer!

15.These rain forest in a jar terrariums are the absolute cutest thing I have ever seen. You could use real succulents or faux succulents. I know we all have at least one option in our homes! Then they get to add a toy animal! Too cute!!
