Affordable Mom Approved Heels
So, there are a lot of really cool trends out there in the shoe department. I've seen so many espadrilles, flats and heels that I've been dying to have. The fact is, I just can't buy everything I want. Kudos to those of you that can, but that just isn't my reality. Not only because of the financial aspect of it, but also because I am a mom (and a pregnant mom at that).
Sure, there are some instances when I get to go out and dress up. But that's usually a rare occasion. Most days I'm at the gym, out running around with my toddler trying to keep him entertained, or at home while he takes his nap. I need shoes that are both practical and stylish. And, because I value where our money goes, I want them to be affordable.
I love to start out at discount stores like T.J. Maxx and Marshalls, because they always have the latest style trends for prices I am willing to pay. But, their selection is always super limited. I have a size 8/8 1/2 foot, which is always in low supply at these stores. A lot of times, I end up turning my search online, because I know they have really awesome deals too and usually have a better stock.
Enter Zulily. I had heard about Zulily a while back when it was just a online discount store for kids items. But now they have everyone covered. I'm always a little hesitant to buy online because sizing is so tricky with each brand, you never know what will fit and what won't. And if it doesn't fit, you either have to keep it, or return it and deal with the shipping charges. No one likes to deal with shipping. So, I am always super careful when purchasing online. I will say, that with Zulily, every order has fit perfectly and I have not been disappointed.
I had been looking for some navy shoes to go with a couple of my past (pictured) and recent outfits, and nowhere had exactly what I was looking for. I set the search filter on Zulily for women's, shoes, navy, size 8/8 1/2, and searched through all their options. That's where I found these amazing pointed low block heels.
They are perfect for me because I don't have to worry about a high heel, but I can still look and feel feminine. Navy isn't necessarily a feminine color, but when you pair it with nautical/patriotic style outfits and add a red lip, you better believe it can be sexy. Also, since my wardrobe is mostly either gray, white or blue, these shoes literally go with everything! Plus, being pregnant, I don't always feel like trying to look nice, and these shoes make it easy.
You will not be disappointed with your finds from Zulily. I will say, that a lot of the brands are low to mid range boutique style, when it comes to brands. But, when you're only paying $12 for shoes, what do you expect? I've personally never had a problem with the shoes I've gotten from Zulily, but I'm also not expecting them to last for years to come. What I do expect is for them to be comfortable, stylish and affordable. This, I can promise you they are. Shop my look below with similar items!
